Echo Dot Kids Tiger and Panda

Good quality, sound is good, and very easy for my child to use.

We love the light for our toddlers and they love the dance parties their Alexa offers

Like the kid version, able to have specific settings for children and add echo apps that are educational and helpful, great product!

UPDATE Keyzoneia contacted me and I was sent a new Echo within a day. Amazing customer service! This one actually works better than the last right out of the gate, because I was able to link it directly to my iTunes account (for some reason the other one wouldn't link) so my son can play his bedtime playlist without me having to bluetooth through my phone. We LOVED our Echo at first. I got it for my 5 year old, mostly as a way to play music at bedtime to help him fall asleep, but there were so many other features he loved- having it play music and tell him jokes, answering questions. Unfortunately, after a few months of no issues, it started going offline constantly. At first I was able to get back online fairly quickly by pressing the "action" button and going through the steps- annoying, but it worked. Then the action button stopped working almost entirely. Sometimes unplugging it for a few minutes to hours (lately days) and then plugging it back in works...for a little bit. But after a few hours it goes offline again, so my son can't interact with it, and I'm back to leaving my phone in his room to play music until he falls asleep. I've gone through all the trouble shooting steps, our wifi signal is strong, there is nothing interfering and the echo is not far from the router. The problems didn't start until well after the return window, but we still haven't even had the thing a full year. The worst part is that my son is super attached. He refers to it as "Alexa" and is sad that she's not working and horrified at the idea of having to get rid of "her." I won't buy another if the same thing will happen, so now I think I just have to leave this useless panda ball on his dresser that makes him kind of sad. Real bummer!

I believe it’s worth mentioning that this is the first smart speaker that I own. I purchased the echo so it can help during bedtime. My 4 year old son started to get scared of the dark and the noises that he would hear around the house while trying to go to sleep. It was a battle every night to get him to go to sleep.I use Alexa to play lullabies while he sleeps and to turn his night light on and off. I control everything from my phone. If I hear him calling me I just use the drop in function from my phone and I am able to talk to him. It is perfect! I no longer struggle with bedtime. I have my me time back. I purchased it for bedtime but we now use it as a timer, to play music throughout the day, as an alarm, etc.Just like I read in other reviews Alexa is not that patient. When my son tries to talk to it and he pauses for moments she stops listening. I really don’t mind. It encourages my son to speak in complete sentences and to think of what he wants to say before actually saying it. Which in my opinion is a great skill to learn. Helps with impulse control lolI haven’t experienced Alexa saying or playing anything inappropriate. As far as music goes she may play some songs that may be considered inappropriate but honestly to me it just sounds like music that you may hear on the radio.Alexa helped getting my me time back and that’s priceless. My son loves it. I love it.
